Description
The PN16 dry riser gate valve, also known as a landing valve, has a gunmetal construction which is corrosion-resistant to ensure it has a long usable life and is suitable for onshore and offshore applications. Manufactured in accordance with BS5041 Part 2, with a standard British Instantaneous female outlet to connect layflat firefighting hosing, you’ll find this in wet and dry riser fire hydrant systems.
Supplied as standard with a cap and chain to keep the outlet clear of rubbish and dirt, the hand wheel makes it easy to control the flow of water. With a compact design and elegant appearance, the low-maintenance valve is hydrostatically tested to 16.5 bars and 22.5 bars.
The PN16 gate valve is commonly used in major industrial locations, including marine, petrochemical, oil and gas, aviation, nuclear and waste recycling environments, as well as fire and rescue services.
Do I Need A PN16 or Table D/E Flange Fitting?
There is a really easy way of telling the difference between PN16 flanges and Table D/E flanges for inlet breeching valves. PN16 have 8 bolt holes around the flange, while Table D/E only have 4 holes, so take note of the outlet you’ll be fitting this to in order to figure out which version you need.
